SRINAGAR: The School Education Department has suspended Principal overnment BHSS Gund Hassi Bhat after he was allegedly arrested in molestation case in Srinagar.
An order in this regard has been issued by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Government School Education Department.
Pending inquiry into his conduct, Shabir Ahmad Mir Principal Government BHSS Gund Hassi Bhat, Srinagar is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect in pursuance of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. The said officer is attached with Director School Education Kashmir, reads the order.

Further, Director School Education Kashmir shall conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report along with his recommendation.
Earlier today Srinagar Police said, “Shabir Ahmad Mir S/o Gh Rasool Mir R/o Zadibal, Srinagar working as Principal of Govt HSS Gund Hassi Bhat arrested in molestation case. FIR no 31/2023 U/s 354D, 294 & 506 of IPC registered at Shalteng PS”.
