President, PM, MIB condole demise of noted journalist Sunil Jain

President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condoled the demise of noted journalist Sunil Jain.

Remembering Jain as an editor known for his candour and forthright views, President said, it was a treat to read his columns.

Mr Kovind said that Jain’s untimely demise and absence will be deeply felt in the world of journalism.

Prime Minister termed the untimely demise of Jain as an irreparable loss to the field of journalism.

Mr. Modi said, he will miss reading his columns and frank as well as insightful views on diverse matters.

Prime Minister said, Jain has left behind an inspiring range of work.

Managing Editor of the Financial Express succumbed to covid-19 related complications at AIIMS on Saturday. He was 58.

Information & Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar also expressed deep grief over the demise of the senior journalist.

The Minister said, Jain will be remembered forever for his journalistic brilliance and his untimely demise has left a huge void in the media fraternity.

Mr Javadekar extended condolences to the family of the departed soul.
