Jammu: The Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir has become first fully vaccinated district in the Union Territory.

He also reviewed COVID-19 situation. “Due to surge in cases of new variant Omicron worldwide, we need to have tough measures in place to prevent contagion. Civil & Police administration to ensure everyone follows COVID-appropriate behaviour,” LG said while chairing review meeting.
He further asked district administration to carry out analysis of Covid trend in their respective districts and identify the reasons of surge to deploy effective strategies. Optimal utilization of RTPCR tests and accelerated vaccination drive is the top priority.
“Health department to ensure every patient gets the benefit of Sehat Golden Card. The J&K administration’s aim is to provide the best medical care to everyone without any strain on their finances. Districts with low number of Sehat Golden cards to ensure its 100% saturation,” he added.
