Policeman shot at in Batamaloo, hospitalized; He is stable says SSP Srinagar


SRINAGAR: An unidentified gunman on Monday evening shot at a policeman in the Dhobi Mohalla area of Batamaloo in Srinagar.

Official sources said that a police inspector identified as Sheikh Firdous, son of Sheikh Abdullah of Dhobi Mohalla was shot at by the unidentified gunmen outside his home.

He was immediately rushed to SMHS hospital for treatment. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Rakesh Balwal told that he was shot at by unknown militants outside Masjid and has suffered a bullet injury in the neck. He is stable and undergoing treatment, SSP said—(KNO)
