Police arrests 7 persons, seizes vehicles for Illegal extraction, transportation of minerals

Srinagar: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, JK Police have arrested 7 persons and seized 7 vehicles in Bandipora.

During the surprise night checking across the district by the police team headed by SSP Bandipora Mohmad Zahid-JKPS, 03 JCB machines and 04 Tippers were seized at Turkpora and Garoora areas of Bandipora. Besides 7 persons were also arrested.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law were registered in concerned police stations and further investigation is in progress.

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
