Police arrests 2 drug peddlers in Pulwama, contraband substance recovered

Pulwama: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Police on Friday arrested two drug peddlers in Pulwama and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Pulwama at a checkpoint established at Babagund Pulwama intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number DL3CBQ-4882 with two persons on board. During checking, officers were able to recover 10 Daizpam Injectables and cash amount of Rs 9200 from their possession.
The accused persons identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Malik and Haris Nazir residents of Dalipora Pulwama were arrested and are in Police custody. An FIR was registered and further investigation has been initiated.
