Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited Jammu and Kashmir, amid a busy day of public addresses and announcements Modi took time off to visit the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar. In a video posted by news agency ANI on Twitter, PM Modi is seen waving as he tours the Dal Lake on a boat.
But incidentally, separatists had called for a complete shutdown to protest the Prime Minister’s visit. Normal life in the valley remained affected due to the strike called by separatists. All shops and business establishments remained closed while public transport was off the roads. Even internet services were snapped by authorities as part of efforts to ensure that the Prime Minister’s visit passes off smoothly.
It took no time for Former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, trolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi for waving at ‘nothing’ during his boat ride in Dal Lake.
For the those who are asking , the 👋 is for BJPs countless imaginary ‘friends’ in Kashmir. https://t.co/l0YPq2oiVy

This camera person has done the Hon PM a huge disservice by not showing all the people furiously waving back because there is no way the PM would be waving at an empty lake. https://t.co/YJoEfX8DJ3

The video went viral and soon Twitterati puzzled over whom Modi was waving at, because in the video, except a couple of boats (apparently boarded his security men and officials) no people are seen. Soon people started trolling PM Modi on social media. Here are some of tweets:
