PM Modi virtually inaugurates Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru Tech Summit virtually today. Speaking on the occasion he explained the possibilities of technology in taking the benefits of governance to the last man in society. He said technology helps speed up delivery of Government programmes and encourages transparency.
May it be the world’s largest health insurance programme, Ayushman Bharat or reaching electricity and providing shelter to the poor, he said that the policy of his Government is to find tech solutions for their quick implementation.
Mr. Modi spoke about UPI digital payment platform, Swamitva yojana to provide land titles in rural areas and Digital India programme. The Prime Minister stressed that technology has made it possible to change the life of the common man for better.
The summit to be held for three days starting today will see the participation of 4000 delegates, 270 speakers in 75 panel discussions. 25 tech nations are participating in the summit along with thought leaders, industry captains, technocrats, researchers, innovators, investors, policy makers and educators.
During the event, 12 Memorandum of Understanding will be signed with foreign countries paving the way for investments in Karnataka. Over 200 Indian companies are setting up virtual exhibitions. Some 50 Indian tech start ups will showcase their technology to European companies.
