People want Kejriwal type Govt in J&K: Mittal

JAMMU: Aam Aadmi Party leader Pardeep Mittal, who is also party’s Election Co-Incharge Jammu Province today said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the hollow policies of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Govt at the Centre as it along with the Union Territory administration has miserably failed to provide basic amenities to the people of trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir.

He stated this while addressing a gathering during new entrants’ party joining programme here today. The programme was organized by Corporator Preeti Khajuria under whose leadership dozens of women from Udhampur District joined the party fold today.

Prominent among others present on the occasion were senior AAP leaders Harsh Dev Singh, Taranjit Singh Tony (DDC Member Suchetgarh), Ashwani Khajuria, District President Varun Bhagat and Ravi Shastri.

Pradeep Mittal in his address on the occasion said that people of Jammu and Kashmir want Kejriwal type Delhi Govt in this Union Territory so that they get relieved of the miseries thrust upon them during the BJP’s proxy rule  in absence of a representative government. He said that the party workers and activists especially the women and youth have a significant role to play in making the people aware about the pro people policies of AAP and convince and motivate them to vote for AAP in the upcoming Assembly elections. He asserted that AAP is the only solution to provide respite to the common people of J&K.

AAP leaders Harsh Dev Singh and Taranjit Singh Tony, in their address on the occasion, castigated the incumbent Govt for its utter failure on every front. They said that the BJP led Govt at the Centre had promised moon to the people once the Article 370 was abrogated, but on the contrary, even post 5th August 2019 the BJP Govt has gifted to the people inflation, unemployment and unabated target killings in Kashmir Valley.

The senior APP leader said that BJP has landed J&K into utter chaos today with peace and normalcy in the valley nowhere visible. They said that APP will work unitedly round the clock to strengthen the Party at grass root level besides working vigorously for the betterment of the people of J&K who have suffered a lot during the past three decades due to terrorism and misgovernance by the successive regimes.
