PDP legislators’ delegation in Delhi to pay tributes to Vajpayee

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti would be holding a press conference in New Delhi this evening soon after the last rites of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee are performed. Miss Mufti is in Delhi heading the members of party legislators to pay tributes to Vajpayee.

Sources told that Mufti in her press conference would pay tributes to the late PM and may recount the efforts of him in resolving the Kashmir Issue and would also recount the support Mr. Vajpayee provided to her late Father Mufti Mohammad Syed led government in 2002 in restoring peace in the Valley.

A PDP delegation of legislators led by Mehbooba Mufti had flown to Delhi this morning to participate in the last rites of Vajpayee. The late PM was known to be found of finding out a solution for Kashmir Problem and had famously said that the solution lies in Kashmiriyat, Jamhooriyat and Insaniyat.

During his visit to Kashmir, Vajpayee had said that Kashmir issues can be resolved without changing borders. “He was very particular about this (Kashmir) issue and was working to solve it. Against all odds he had visited Pakistan to start a new process for Kashmir resolution.
