Srinagar, Nov 20: Alleging that a PDP leader was summoned to a police station in Srinagar on Friday, former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said that he was asked to report and stay in the station from 0800 hrs to 2000 hrs everyday till SMC elections are over.

Ms Mehbooba, who is the president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said as usual the justification was given that the order had come from the top.

“Is this going to be the new norm for elections in J&K,” Ms Mehbooba asked LG Manoj Sinha.

“PDP’s @RoufBhaat was summoned to Shergarhi police station today. He was asked to report everyday & ensure he stays from 8am- 8pm till SMC elections are over. As usual ‘upar say order’ is the justification. @manojsinha_ji is this going to be the new norm for elections in J&K?,” Ms Mehbooba wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
