PDP dissolves youth wing, retains Parra as president

The Peoples Democratic Party has dissolved its youth wing even as the jailed leader Waheed Ur Rehman Parra continues to be the president

SRINAGAR: The People’s Democratic Party has dissolved its youth wing even as the jailed leader Waheed Ur Rehman Parra continues to be the president.
The decision to dissolve the youth wing was approved by party president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
“The decision has been taken to pave way for initiation of fresh organisational re-structuring of the youth PDP at the state, province, district and zone levels,” party said in a statement.
Party said that it has dissolved all organisational committees and office bearers of Youth PDP except the President.
It may be mentioned that the PDP youth wing president Waheed ur Rehman Parra in jail since 2019 facing various changes.
