JAMMU:  BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta today addressed a meeting at Booth No. 26 Flora Nagmani in Marh constituency in Jammu.

While addressing the meeting, Vibodh appreciated the historic passing Rs. 1.18 lakh crore budget for Jammu & Kashmir by Lok Sabha.

This he said is a momentous occasion not only for the UT of J&K but for the entire nation. Vibodh thanked PM Modi and his team for this and said that this budget reflects the aspirations of youth, poor and marginalised and weaker sections of the society. This budget besides fast-tracking the recruitment process will also ensure the welfare of migrants.

Giving further details about the budget, Vibodh said that this passing of the budget is a significant step towards strengthening the development and progress of the region.

The budget will enable the LG administration to allocate funds for various developmental projects and schemes in different sectors like health, education, infrastructure, and tourism among others. The budget allocation will help in creating new job opportunities, improving the living standards of people and will boost the economic growth of the UT, Vibodh added.

In his address, BJP District President Jammu North Omi Khajuria said that this substantial budget allocation will ensure that the people of Jammu and Kashmir get the benefits of various schemes and initiatives launched by the Government.

These meetings were also addressed by Vandana Kumari, District Vice President and Sarpanch who said that today through panchayats Modi Government has empowered a three-tier democratic functioning of the Government. This she said has given tremendous empowerment to the women who are part of every decision-making process today.

Prominent others who were present in the meeting included Master Mulkh Raj, Raju Jamwal, Vinay Sharma and local Shakti Kendra Purmukh of BJP.
