Ramban, March 29: About 50 days after Pulwama attack, an explosion occurred near a convoy of the 54th Battalion of CRPF in a private vehicle in Jammu & Kashmir Saturday.

The driver of the car escaped unhurt after the blast. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. The blast occurred in the car as the convoy was nearby on the Banihal highway in Ramban district of Jammu & Kashmir.

A bus in the convoy with CRPF personnel onboard sustained minor damages.

The incident comes as a surprise as it was decided that no private vehicles will be allowed near the convoy of the security forces when it transverses across the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

It is not clear as of now if it is a terrorist attack or accident but security experts call it yet another security lapse in the troubled northern state.
