BARAMULLA: Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday said to have arrested three drug peddlers including a Panch in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The drug peddlers have been arrested along with 127 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance and 252 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus.
Baramulla police in a statement issued to The Dispatch said, “Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by Kubra Nazir DySP Prob, SHO PS Boniyar arrested Drug Peddler namely Shakeel Ahmad S/O Mohd Hanief Kandal R/O Mawer Nowgam Kupwara who is Panch of ward Nowgam B during naka checking at Chellan Boniyar who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully by the alert naka party.
During his personal search 127 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately, police said.
At Mirchimar Mirgund, police under the supervision of Mohd Nawaz-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by PSI Zilal Ahmad, IC PP Mirgund arrested 2 Drug Peddlers namely Gh Mohammad Dar S/O Ab Rehman Dar R/O Mirgund & Manzoor Ahmad Dar S/O Assadullah Dar R/O Chenbal Mirgund during routine patrolling at Mirchimar Mirgund who were coming from towards Mirchimar Mirgund and upon seeing the patrolling party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully by the alert patrolling party.
During their personal search 252 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately. Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar & Pattan and investigations set in motion.
