The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed nine crore 40 lakh. The Union Health Ministry said, more than 34 lakh 73 thousand vaccine doses were given till 8 PM yesterday. Out of which over 30 lakh 81 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and more than three lakh 91 thousand beneficiaries received 2nd dose of vaccine.
The Ministry said, more than three crore 74 lakh beneficiaries aged over 60 years have received the first dose and over 13 lakh 51 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated 2nd dose till date. The countrywide vaccination drive was rolled out on 16th of January this year.
