Over 65 crore 41 lakh doses of COVID vaccine administered across country; National recovery rate reaches 97.51 per cent

India achieved a landmark milestone by administering over one crore 33 lakh Covid vaccine doses to the beneficiaries in a single day, yesterday. It is the highest single day vaccination since the launch of nationwide Covid vaccination drive. This is the second time within a week when over one crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country.

Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry has said, India has administered over 65 crore 41 lakh doses of Covid vaccine so far. Over 50 crore people across the country have received their first dose. More than 18 crore doses have been administered in the last month.

The Ministry said, 33 thousand 964 Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 97.51 per cent. So far, more than three crore 19 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

The country reported 41 thousand 965 new cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is at around three lakh 78 thousand. The active cases constitute 1.15 per cent of the total reported cases. The daily positivity rate stands at 2.61 per cent. The Ministry said, around 52 crore 31 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
