SRINAGAR: Only 33 per cent of the fertilizers have been sold in Jammu and Kashmir during the year 2021.
With the total requirement of 2.72 lakh Metric Tons (MTs) of fertilizer, only 0.91 lakh MTs of fertilizer sold in Jammu and Kashmir under the flagship scheme of Digital Payment for Purchase of Fertilizers (DPPF) in the year 2021.
Besides, among the total of 3.92 lakh beneficiaries of DPPF, only 2.61 lakh transactions have been made in the year 2021.
As per the official data, the data reveals that Jammu and Kashmir has a requirement of nearly 2.72 lakh MTs of fertilizer, however, only 0.91 lakh MTs (Kharief) fertilizer was sold.
The official report states that digital payment has attained a hundred per cent between wholesalers and companies. However, 70 per cent of digital payment has been achieved between wholesalers and retailers.
“QR code installation has been completed up to more than 96 per cent in JK where 3720 retailers have installed QR code out of 3850 (96.6 per cent). However, installation of full saturation of QR code is still under process,” reads the data.
The data further reveals that another flagship scheme for J&K ‘One Nation One Ration Card scheme’ has reached the milestone of being fully operational in the UT.
In addition to this, sales depot automation has also been fully implemented in J&K. The details further read that J&K UT has further achieved full implementation in Point of Sale devices, including hundred per cent achievements in the digitization of ration cards and Aadhar seeding of ration cards—(KNO)
