Srinagar: One of the three militants killed in a gunfight with the government forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday has been identified as Rakib Ahmad Sheikh of Shungipora village.
Reports said the body of Sheikh was handed over to his family today.
Sheikh, they said, had joined Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit one-and-a-half-year back.
Three Jaish militants, a deputy superintendent of police and an army soldier were killed in the gunfight in Turigam village of Kulgam yesterday.
The identity of other two militants is being ascertained, said an official.
