SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday arrested one of the two militants involved in the killing of two Railway Protection Force personnel in the Kakapora area of Pulwama on April 18, officials said.

Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the militant is from Lashkar-i-Toiba.

“Another militant involved in the attack has also been identified and will be either neutralized or arrested,” the IGP added.

The statement comes on a day when one of the two RPF personnel, SI Dev Raj succumbed to injuries at SMHS hospital here. His colleague had died on the spot when a pistol-borne militant attacked him from behind near a Dhaba at Kakapora on April 18.(GNS)
