Northern Railways suspends Wrestler Sushil Kumar from service in view of criminal offence being investigated against him

Northern Railways has suspended Wrestler Sushil Kumar from the service in view of the criminal offence being investigated against him. The two-time Olympic medallist was arrested by the Delhi Police earlier this week in connection with a murder case.

As per an official statement by Northern Railways, he was detained in police custody on 23rd of May for a period exceeding 48 hours. It said, now Sushil Kumar is deemed to have been suspended with effect from the date of detention. Sushil Kumar is an accused in a case of the alleged murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankar.
