No vaccine jab no salary for traffic cops in J&K

90% of traffic personnel got vaccinated: SSP Traffic Shivkumar Sharma

Jammu: With an objective to protect traffic police personnel from the second wave of the rapidly spreading corona virus, traffic officials have made it mandatory for cops to get vaccine otherwise no salary will be issued.

“After getting the vaccine to all the traffic personnel, need to submit submit certificate of   vaccination to the SSP Traffic office,” an official said.

“The salary of traffic personnel whose vaccinations will not be completed by this month can also be stopped,” a report published in Danik Jagaran said.

Officials of Traffic Police Jammu have taken this step to protect the jawans from the danger of corona.

Actually, the traffic personnel stationed at various square intersections of the city keep in direct contact with the people.

Besides streamlining the traffic system, traffic workers also make people aware of the rules to be followed.

Taking care of the health of the jawans, the traffic police has also issued advisory for the jawans. Mask and sanitizers are being provided to the traffic personnel by the department. They have been told to wear masks while on duty. Apart from this, physical distance has to be observed while performing duty.

Traffic workers have also been told to stay away from the family for some time after returning home from duty to ensure their cleanliness.

Children do not come directly into the family contact by going home.

90% of traffic personnel got vaccinated: SSP Traffic Shivkumar Sharma said that there are about 400 officers and personnel in Jammu Police.

90 percent of which have been vaccinated with the corona vaccine. Remaining 30 to 35 personnel have been instructed to get vaccinated as soon as possible so that they can avoid the danger of corona.

Apart from this, they have also been asked to follow the guidelines issued by the Central Home while on duty.
