No need to create hype says LG Sinha on Doda incident

Action to be taken under Disaster management: Vishesh Paul

DODA: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha Saturday said that there is no need to create hype on the Doda incident as authorities are keeping an eye on the matter.

LG Manoj Sinha was addressing media persons in Jammu. On being asked about the Doda incident, LG Sinha said, “Affected houses have been evacuated. There is no need to create hype. The government and administration are keeping an eye on the matter. Best practices will be followed with suggestions from scientists”.

21 structures developed cracks due to ‘sinking’ of land in Doda

Vishesh Paul Mahajan, DC, Doda told the media that 19 houses have developed cracks along with two other structures. The GSI team is on the task & has taken samples, they will give us details as to what is actually happening here. Actions to be taken accordingly under Disaster management.

Earlier today a team of scientists from the geological Survey of India visited Doda to analyse the Joshimath-like situation after the houses developed cracks.
