NIA searches 14 locations in Punjab, Kashmir and Delhi in terror cases

SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Saturday conducted searches at 14 different locations in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi in a terror case.

In a statement issued to The Dispatch, NIA said, “The case relates to terror activities of chiefs/members of proscribed terrorist organizations, such as Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International, International Sikh Youth Federation etc. Such activities include smuggling of terrorist hardware, such as arms, ammunition explosives, IEDs etc. across international borders, for use by operatives/members of terror outfits and organized criminal gangs operating in various parts of the country for carrying out terrorist acts like bombs explosions, and targeted killings.

This case was registered suo-moto by NIA on 20.08.2022 as RC 37/2022/NIA/DLI. During the searches conducted today, incriminating materials, including digital devices and documents have been seized. Further investigations in the case are in progress, the statement reads.
