NIA raids JKLF chief Malik’s house in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 26: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided the Maisuma house of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik, who has been arrested during the intervening night of February 22 and 23.
The NIA has already arrested over a dozen separatist leaders and businessmen in connection with terror funding in the Kashmir valley, Jammu , Haryana and Delhi.
Official sources said that Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMF) and state police personnel cordoned off entire Maisuma this morning around 0700 hrs. Later, personnel from the NIA entered the residential house of Malik and conducted thorough searches.
A spokesman of the front confirming raid at the house of Malik said the entire area is has been sealed and nobody was being allowed to go there. He said the searches were going on when the reports last came in.
He said Malik is lodged in police station Kothibagh since his arrest.
