New Parliament Building is likely to be built before Parliament’s Winter Session of 2022. Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha today, Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed that specific usage of existing Parliament building after completion of the new building has not been decided yet.

He said that 90 acres of hutments are being located due to the construction of the central vista project. Mr. Puri asserted that not a single historic or iconic structure will be demolished during the new construction.
