NDA govt taken several measures for empowerment of women, says Prakash Javadekar

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar today said the NDA government has taken several measures for the empowerment of women. He said women of the country have earned plaudits in every sphere including sports and agriculture. He said this while delivering his address at the Foundation Day ceremony of the National Commission for Women. He also applauded the National Commission for Women’s initiative to felicitate COVID Women Warriors. Mr Javadekar however said that even today, gender inequality is prevalent and violence against females occurs. He praised NCW for working towards women upliftment.

Talking about COVID pandemic, Mr Javadekar expressed happiness that 2021 started with vaccine doses being administered. He praised Corona warriors and especially women for leading the fight against the pandemic.
