Narcotics Control Bureau, NCB has issued notice to filmmaker Karan Johar, seeking details of parties he organised. He has been asked to send his response & produce documents, electronic evidence, with regard to the video in circulation, given by Shiromani Akali Dal, SAD MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa with his complaint.
In 2019, Karan had hosted a party, a video of which went viral claiming that most of those attending it were in an inebriated state. The SAD MLA attacked Karan over the video and asked police to take cognizance of the party where drugs were allegedly being used. In September this year, Sirsa approached the NCB with respect to the viral video, after the agency started its probe into the Bollywood drug link.
On several occasions, Karan talked about the video and reiterated that no drug was consumed at the party and that the allegations were completely, baseless and false.
