National COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 97.17 per cent; More than 34,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported in last 24 hours, lowest in 111 days

The national recovery rate has gone upto to 97.06 per cent. Over 57 thousand patients recovered during last 24 hours. The Healhth Ministry has said that over 2 crore 96 lakh people have recovered from Covid-19 so far. Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 51st consecutive day.

The country reported more than 44 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. India’s Active Caseload has declined to 4 lakh 95 thousand 533. It is less than 5 lakh after 97 days. Active cases constitute 1.62 per cent of total cases. Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and it is currently at 2.5 per cent.

Daily positivity rate at 2.35 per cent and it is less than 5 per cent for 26 consecutive days. 738 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. With this the death toll due to the pandemic has reached 4 lakh one thousand 50.
