Multipurpose device COVID BEEP developed by ECIL, ESIC Hyderabad: Jitendra Singh

Minister of state in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh today said a multipurpose device COVID BEEP has been developed to monitor Oxygen rate, body temperature and heart rate indigenously by ECIL and ESIC Hyderabad. Mr. Singh informed the Lok Sabha that the equipment has been widely used in households and hospitals.

He said that with the help of Red Cross Society 500 COVID BEEP has been provided to the hospital and it is helpful in maintaining Covid protocol. Mr Singh said the cost effective monitoring system has also inbuilt a GPS facility. The Minister said that the Ministry of Labour and Employment has received 10,000 potential orders for the device.
