MSK Kishtwar organises awareness camp at Tagood


Urges women folk to avail benefits of Women centric schemes

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 28: With an aim to sensitise the women folk of far flung areas about various women centric schemes for their empowerment, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Kishtwar today organised an awareness camp at village Tagood, Kishtwar.

While addressing the women folk, MSK Women Welfare Officer, Roohie Shamma talked about women empowerment and stressed on the need to educate girl child which is the first step for empowering a women and nation as a whole. She also sensitise the women about various Women welfare schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP),  Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Ujjwala yojana, Swadhar Greh, One Stop Center, Women helpline 181 etc.

District Coordinator, Shanu Rana also spoke on basic rights of women and aware them about various pension schemes for old ladies, widows, handicapped and destitute women and stressed on survival and education of girl child.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Mahila Shakti kendra kishtwar is working for the same purpose and are reaching to the women folk living in far flung areas. At the end of programme, a pledge was also administered under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.
