SAMBA: In a simple but impressive function under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Government Middle School Chak Chhiba Khurd tehsil Vijaypur was named after the Martyr Hav Tarsem Lal here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Suram Chand Sharma presided over the naming ceremony in presence of Mother, wife and Other family members of the Martyr.
Chief Education Officer, Sarpanch Panchayat, other PRIs and prominent persons of the village including students and staff of adjoining schools were also present.
Plaque containing a brief description of Martyr’s contribution was unveiled after paying floral tribute to the Martyr.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma recalled the martyrdom of the late Hav. Tarsem Lal. He said that the government has started naming the Schools, Roads, and other infrastructure after the names of the Martyr/ Prominent personalities who played their role in protecting the sovereignty of the country.
