BARAMULLA: Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday claimed to have arrested the most wanted drug peddler of Srinagar along with 15 grams of contraband brown sugar-like substances near St. Joseph’s School Baramulla during the routine patrolling.
Baramulla police in a statement said that under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Shoket, SHO PS Baramulla arrested Drug Peddler namely Syed Rouf Ahmad Bukhari S/O Syed Abdul Salam Bukhari R/O Umarabad Shah Hamdan Colony Srinagar during routine patrolling at St. Joseph’s School Baramulla who was coming towards Baramulla and upon seeing the patrolling party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search, 15 grams of contraband Brown Sugar-like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately. A case under NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
