BARAMULLA: Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday said that a most wanted drug smuggler Abdul Qayoom of Trikanjan Boniyar arrested along with 45 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance.
The arrest was made during checking at Boniyar market in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob Kubra Nazir, SHO PS Boniyar arrested most wanted Drug smuggler namely Abdul Qayoom Ganie S/O Ghulam Rasool Ganie R/O Trikanjan Boniyar during naka checking at Boniyar Market who was coming from Trikanjan towards Boniyar Market and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 45 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance* was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately, police said. Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar* and investigations set in motion.
