More than one crore 26 lakh 71 thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far. The Health and Family Welfare Ministry today informed that a total of five lakh three thousand 947 doses of vaccines have been given to health care and frontline workers in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.20 per cent with recovery of more than 11 thousand 799 patients within 24 hours. The Ministry said, more than one crore seven lakh 38 thousand patients have already recovered from this disease and there are one lakh 51 thousand 708 active cases in the country which comprises 1.37 per cent of the total positive cases.

 A total of 16 thousand 738 new cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore ten lakh 46 thousand. The Health Ministry said, one hundred 38 deaths were reported within 24 hours taking the toll to over one lakh 56 thousand across the country. Various laboratories conducted more than seven lakh 93 thousand tests of Corona virus samples in the last 24 hours.
