More than 19 crore 84 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in country so far

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country exceeded 19.84 Crore yesterday. Health Ministry said, on the 129th of the vaccination drive yesterday, over 23 lakh 65 thousand vaccine doses were given. It said, over 12 lakh 52 thousand beneficiaries of the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday. Till now, over 1 crore 18 lakh beneficiaries in the age group have received vaccine doses across 37 States and UTs since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.

Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for their first dose of COVID vaccine. Till now, over 1.64 crore doses have been administered to Health Care Workers, over 2.34 crore doses to Front Line Workers, over 7.14 crore doses to people in 45 to 60 years age group and over 7.50 crore doses have been given to people above 60 years.
