More than 1.42 crore healthcare, frontline workers vaccinated against Covid 19 in country

Union Health Ministry said more than one crore 42 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to beneficiaries in the country so far. A total of seven lakh 69 thousand doses of vaccine were given to health care and frontline workers in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.14 per cent with recovery of more than 12 thousand patients within 24 hours. The Ministry said, more than one crore seven lakh patients have already recovered from this disease.

Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is one lakh 59 thousand 590 which comprises only 1.44 per cent of the total positive cases.

A total of 16 thousand 488 new cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore ten lakh.

The Health Ministry said, one hundred 13 deaths were reported within 24 hours taking the toll to over one lakh 56 thousand across the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research said that various laboratories conducted more than seven lakh 73 thousand tests of Coronavirus samples during the last 24 hours and more than 21 crore 54 lakh tests have been done in the country so far.
