Zaffar Manhas, MLC and Vice Chairman JK Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), called on Governor N.N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan today.
Manhas briefed Governor about the ongoing programmes and the upcoming events which are being organized by the Academy and the efforts underway to promote traditional arts and artists.
Appreciating Manhas’s continuing endeavours towards the promotion of art, culture and literature, Governor recalled the high importance of J&K’s vast tangible and intangible cultural heritage, which has been a valuable integrating factor, and advised Manhas to bear with his sustained efforts to engender harmonious environment in the State.
