MLA Dooru inaugurates job fair

The District Employment and Counseling Centre, Anantnag today conducted one day job fair at Rest House Dooru. The MLA, Doru Syed Farooq Indrabi who was the chief guest on the occasion inaugurated the job fair. A large number of unemployed educated youth of the area including college students and common people were present on the occasion.

The MLA, Doru inspected various stalls setup by the line departments including Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Employment and Counseling Centre, Anantnag, KVIB, Fisheries, Industries, Handicrafts, Handloom, Horticulture, Apiculture, UMEED, NLHM, ITI, Lead Bank, RESTI, Anantnag, besides corporate sectors including LIC, QUES,J&K Bank, Multi care services and Aaraaf spices.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the aim of organizing such job fair is to educate and aware the unemployed youth belonging to remote areas about various welfares schemes and job oriented programmes and employment schemes of the government. He also said that unemployment is a big challenge for the government as well as for parents. Government is not in a position to provided government job to every educated youth and they should come forward in the private sector for establishment of income generating units for which government is providing financial assistance and interest subsidy.

The MLA appealed the youth for maintaining peace so that the welfare programmes of the government are implemented in letter and spirit for the prosperity of the people. He also highlighted some developmental sectors like PMGSY, R&B, PDD and PHE.

The ADC, Anantnag, SDM, Doru, Deputy Director Employment Anantnag, Ad Employment Anantnag, Tehsildar Dooru, Tehsildar Verinag, LDM, Ex. Off Municipal committee Dooru, representatives of line departments also attended the function.
