Missing Nowshera driver’s body found after 9 days, family protests

Jammu, Dec 11: Nine days after he went missing, the body of a 29-year-old driver was recovered from a nallah in Rajouri district of Jammu division on Tuesday. The driver has been identified as Ram Chandra alias Vicky son of Ramesh Chandler of Siot Tehsil of Nowshera.

Officials said that the body was found from the nallah near Dhankaar Lamberi village late night and shifted to mortuary room at SDH Nowshera. After post-mortem, the body would be handed over to the family for last rites.

Meanwhile, family and relatives of the driver blocked Jammu-Poonch road blocked  and demanded culprits be punished.

SHO Nowhsera Mohammad Amin Malik told GNS that police has taken cognizance and started investigation into the incident.
