Mirwaiz commends Kashmir media fraternity for highlighting Kathua incident

Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday commended the media fraternity of Kashmir for persistently highlighting the rape and murder of a minor Kathua girl from last three months.

He also said that the job done by media fraternity of Kashmir ‘forced the government not to ignore the case.”

“Commend the media fraternity of #Kashmir for persistently highlighting for the last three months the most heinous and preplanned hate crime against a Little girl which forced the ruling regime not to ignore it! #JusticeForAsifa,” Mirwaiz tweeted.

Meanwhile he also denounced the use of force against the students in Anantnag and Baramulla district who had organized a protest to seek justice for Asifa.

Mirwaiz in his another tweet said that the pedestrians as well as the shopkeepers were not spared during the protest while the authorities have allowed dozens of rallies to drum up support for those who are involved in Kathua incident.

“Strongly denounce ruthless beating by forces of students especially girls &teargassing them in #Anantnag #Baramulla & else for demanding #JusticeForAsifa not even sparing pedestrians & shopkeepers,while allowing dozens of rallies to drum up support for murders In #Kathua.Shame!,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
