Militants likely gave slip to forces in Pulwama encounter, search continues

PULWAMA: Militants likely gave the slip to security forces from the Parigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday morning.

A top police officer said that as the searches resumed this morning at the encounter site, no militant was found, and even drone service was used.

The officer added that militants likely took advantage of darkness and managed to escape since it is a vast paddy field.

There was a brief exchange of fire between militants and security forces yesterday, and afterward, operation was suspended the night.(GNS)
