Meet Wasif Rashid, a promising Digipreneur from Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Wasif Rashid,  a young Digiprenuer is making a name across the globe with his digital marketing company.

Wasif who has added his name in IBR, WBR and The Wonder Book of Records is the founder and CEO of the Digital Marketing venture ‘Your World’.  Your World is a digital marketing company that is the answer to one’s all basic needs which is selling, buying, counselling, promotions and all.

Born in Duroo, Sopore, Wasif is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Forensic Sciences from Chandigarh University. He is an International and National Awardee. Wasif has been awarded by ‘World Book Of Records, Australia’ and ‘India’s Book of Record’ for being the youngest Digipreneur and he’s the recipient of Exemplary youth award 2021 and Innovation Award too.

From a young age, Wasif was interested in business, but not the outdated techniques. He wanted to create a system where people can sell and buy, live and love from the very comfort of home. He utilized his skills and techniques and started his company Your World back in 2016, the time when people in Kashmir were winding up their business.

Now, with his success, he has proved that with skills you can do anything and can earn much better from any job. In a conversation with him, he said “Degree is just a paper, which can’t decide my career. Excellence is what matters and I’m focusing on that only.

“‘A disquieting aspect of a society like ours is that one of the most important criteria of each individual’s behaviour is the way other individuals are behaving,

” Wasif, who was bestowed with Extremely youth award for his ”Techie-Kashmir” dream, recalls that disturbing phase of his life. ”And in Kashmir, the mere publicizing of a successful entrepreneur’s acts stimulates newbies to act in the same way. I did the same and suffered a loss.”

But he does not really regret that loss. It was soon after this loss that Wasif’s idea migrated from the screen and went towards the public. His company was now offering a more organic database of contacts searchable according to the person’s profession.

”It was a tool for everything,” Wasif says about his dream App. ”I had the contacts of masons, carpenters, grocery stores, butchers, doctors—all stored at one relay station.” But, the interface was never introduced to the general public because of the unavailability of an investor.

Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.”

”In near future, I would be able to actually provide services that will be used by people all over the world and all these services would be set-up by Your Dream,” Wasif says about what he envisages his company doing after a decade.
