Bandipora: Meet Jehangir Arshad Bhat an innovator, Engineer who modified traditional Kashmiri assets like ‘Samovar’. A resident of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, Bhat has also come up with more than twenty patented inventions.
A University of Texas Graduate, the passionate engineer, Jahangir is a five-time gold medalist in innovation and invention at the international level. He has also a medal of honor from the Inventorium of Purtugsia and Serbia.
Jehangir along with his six students from the Institute, come with new idea that they modified and automated the special asset of Kashmiri civilization ‘Samovar’ which not only pours the tea into the cup itself but when the tea boils too much its lid closes automatically and tea does not spill.
Jehangir is known for his 20 patented innovations, he worked on this Samovar with his students at Kashovatics, an institution which provides platform to students to do innovations in different fields.
