Medical, Surgical procedures of utmost importance to be done on basis of RAT: DHSK

SRINAGAR: Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has directed all Chief Medical officers, medical superintendents, block medical officers and other administrative officers to ensure that all the medical and surgical procedures are done on basis of RAT test reports of the patients.

“This has come into the notice of authorities that the medical and other surgical procedures, which otherwise need immediate attention, are getting delayed at the level of District Hospitals, Sub District Hospitals and other health institutions due to non-availability of RTPCR test reports, which has been viewed seriously,” reads the circular issued by Director Health Services Kashmir.

“In order to provide better & timely patient care services, it is hereby impressed upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical superintendents, Block Medical Officers and other In-charge Administrators of the health institutions to ensure that all the medical & surgical procedures of utmost urgency are done on the basis of RAT test reports of the patients, after following the COVID SOPs properly as per WHO guidelines,” it states

“This Circular is issued in the interest of better patient care in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases,” it adds—(KNO)
