Srinagar, Oct 30: Body of an unidentified man was fished out from the river Jhelum in the summer capital, Srinagar on Friday.
Official sources said that panic gripped Chattabal area in Srinagar when some locals saw body of a man floating in the Jhelum on Friday morning. “The locals immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and other facts of the case.
