Maharashtra has crossed 20 lakh COVID-19 caseload mark with 2,886 new infections taking the cumulative total to 20,00,878. The death toll rose to 50,634 as 52 more patients succumbed to the infection on Thursday. Case fatality rate in the state stands at 2.53 per cent.
On the other hand, 3980 patients were discharged on Thursday taking the total number of recoveries to 19,03,408. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 94.13 percent.
Currently, there are 45, 622 active cases in the state. Mumbai city reported 527 new cases on Saturday, which pushed its overall count to 3,04,653. The death toll increased by 10 taking the tally to 11,278. Meanwhile, a total of 2,85,810 patients have recovered so far in the city. The number of active cases in the city stood at 6669.
