Jammu: The second most famous Machail Yatra of Jammu and Kashmir after Shri Amarnath Yatra has also been suspended due to Covid.

 

As per report the District Deputy Commissioner said that this decision has been taken in view of the COVID infection.

Due to the epidemic, only a few devotees had paid obeisance last year. However, not many people were allowed to participate in it.

Important things about Machail village and temple

In the Padar area, about 95 km from Kishtwar district headquarters, the village Machail is situated between mountains and rivers and streams surrounded by lush green trees. This village is famous for the temple of Mata Bhagwati Shri Chandi. This holy place is also known as Machail Wali Mata.
