Rectification process to take a week: SMO
SRINAGAR, June 16:Thousands of residents of Jammu and Kashmir are waiting to get Golden cards even after submitting all criteria two months ago.
People from different areas of Jammu and Kashmir told the news agency that they have submitted all details required to get the golden card months but are yet to get the golden card.
Several Common Service Centre owners have also echoed the same concern and said that they have to face angry public on a daily basis as they have submitted all required documents along with finger print on their centre’s but authorities aren’t approving their cards due to unknown reasons.
They said that every day they pacify people by stating that their cards will be generated soon but as months have passed, they are unable to face them as several persons belong to poor families and want to get treatment on the golden card.
Aijaz Ahmad, a resident of Srinagar said that he has submitted all details at the common service centre some two months back but he is unable to get his card.
Dozens of families have also said that they have submitted details of all family members at a time and some of them have received cards already but most of them are still waiting for the cards.
Pertinently an applicant has to submit a copy of ration card verified by concerned department, Aadhaar details along with biometrics after which the health department approves it.
Notably, the PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme was launched by PM Modi in December 2020 to all residents of J&K UT.
Meanwhile, State Medical officer (SMO) Dr Khursheed Ahmad Khan while acknowledging these issues said that there is technical problem in the portal as it has feed pan India data.
“A team is rectifying the problems and the process will take around one week or so. There is no need to worry, everyone will get the card and avail the benefit,” he said—(KNO)
