Locals help Wildlife Protection officials capture wild goat alive in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Authorities in the Department of Wildlife Protection have captured wild goat alive from Wangath area of remote Kangan village in Ganderbal district on Sunday.

As per the reports, the wild goat belongs to Ibex species usually called as Himalayan Ibex. The wild goat was spotted by the locals, who later informed the concerned Wildlife Protection Department.

Local residents helped the concerned department officials to capture the goat alive.

The Himalayan Ibex could be recognized by their curved horns and beards, and these are usually brown, blackish or a mix of both colours.
